India Women cricketers reclaimed the Women’s T20 Asia Cup title
in emphatic fashion, defeating Sri Lanka by 72 runs in the final at the
Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The victory avenged their defeat
to Sri Lanka in the 2024 final and handed India a record-extending
eighth Asia Cup title.

The Women's Asia Cup is a biennial cricket tournament organised by the
Asian Cricket Council. It is contested by the senior national women's
cricket teams of Asia to determine the continental champion. The first
Women's Asia Cup was held in 2004 in Colombo and Kandy, Sri Lanka. The
2020 edition was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but was
later cancelled. The ICC has ruled that all matches played in the Asia
Cup carry either ODI or T20I status. The 2012 edition was the first to
be played in the T20 format. As of 2026, ten Women's Asia Cup
tournaments have been held, with India winning the most titles (four
WODI and four WT20I).

India's victory over Korea in the 2026 hockey Men's Junior Asia Cup final
secured their place in the World Cup.
The match took place in Moqi, China, and ended with a score of 4-1 in
favor of India. This win marks India's sixth title in the
tournament. India's previous titles came in 2004, 2008, 2015, 2023
and 2024.

Srishti Kiran has become the No.1 ranked U13 player. Srishti had a
great run in the last few months, winning five ITF junior titles and
finishing runner-up at the World Tennis Tour Juniors J100 event in
Guatemala. She also reached the career-high ITF junior ranking of No.
357, the highest among Under-13 players globally.
