Kanchenjunga in Sikkim is the highest mountain peak in India and third
highest on Earth, after Mount Everest and Godwin Austen (K2).

Pelling Skywalk is the first glass Skywalk in India (7,200 ft
above sea level) and is located at Pelling, Sikkim opposite the 137 ft
tall statue of Chenrezig, amidst the magnificent Himalayas. It has
been built so as to give a wonderful view of the Chenrezig statue and
the stairs that lead up to it, with golden prayer wheels on each side.
The skywalk allows visitors to look down several thousand feet in the
air and can also catch the sight of Teesta and Rangit rivers flowing
closeby.

Chenrezig or Avalokiteshvara, as per local folk tales, is the
earthly incarnation of Lord Buddha, Amitabha. The statue at Choeling
area in Pelling was constructed at a cost of Rs.46.65 crore.
