Paramartha guruvin kadhai is a satirical story on a religious teacher and his dumb disciples written by Veeramamunivar (Constantine Joseph Beschi) (8 Nov 1680 - 1742)
He was an Italian Jesuit missionary in South India who mastered the Tamil language and had written several books - Tembavani, a classic poem ; Sadhuragaraadhi ; Thonnool - a grammatical treatise ; Vedhiyar Ozhukkam.

Tenali Raman stories are based on the incidents in the life of Tenali Ramakrishna, a minister, vikatakavi (poet-jester) in the court of Krishna Deva Rayar.  The stories reveal his wit and wisdom.  Tenali is the town he hailed from.
He was one of the Ashtadiggajas who belonged to the court of Krishnadevaraya in Vijayanagar.  Panduranga Mahatyamu, one among the Pancha Kavyas about the Pundarika Kshetram, Udbhataradhya Charitram on the story of Udbhata, Ghatikachala Mahatyam about God Narasimha of Ghatikachala near Vellore are some of his scholarly works.
